![]() Axel B | Jan 27th 2010, 03:57 Hi Scott, this is really a grat job. i love the way u "freeze" the water, and the light and the contrast are excellent. Looks like a perfect HDR tuning... Congrats! Ax |
![]() Scott Allen | Jan 27th 2010, 08:46 Hey Axel B - good of you to pick up on the different exposures. I bracketed across several shutter speeds on this shot. i do not use any real HDR software. I pick and choose what i want using layer masks. sort of the same but i am in total control. What, you did not believe my canon 5d mark 2 had this much dynamic range? Just kidding. thanks everyone for spending some time with my images. nothing better than other photographers looking at each others work. |
![]() David Ingraham | Jan 30th 2010, 14:38 Excellent work! Great composition, shutter-speed choice, and dramatic post-production work. (Lightroom? Silver Efex?) |
![]() Scott Allen | Jan 30th 2010, 15:58 post production work was done in photoshop cs 3. i did make some choices in black and white conversion. the shutter speeds varied across several exposures as described above. i pick and choose what i want by hand with layer masks. i would have to go back and study the raw files to see what the shutter speed was for the water. David, i have been enjoying some of your work. |
![]() Scott Allen | Jan 30th 2010, 16:03 This image prints incredible at 24 x 35 on my epson 7900 on harmon gloss stock and has been selling very well for me. i always feel that something gets a little lost on a screen on line. but, it sure is fun sharing with so many photographers. |
